Job Description


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1) Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Management, Software Engineering, or related fields.
  • 2) At least 5 years of IT management and 3 years of team management experience in manufacturing, preferably with a background in furniture, home goods, or discrete manufacturing. Experience with software such as ERP is a plus.
  • 3) Experience leading or participating in projects related to smart manufacturing or digital workshops.
  • 4) Fluency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is a must. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking vendors.
  • 5) Comprehensive experience in ERP, MES project implementation, and operations, with a deep understanding of core manufacturing processes (e.g., production planning, material requirements planning (MRP), shop floor management, supply chain management.
  • 6) Familiarity with commonly used CAD/CAM/CNC software and integration with ERP systems in the furniture industry.
  • 7) Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CISSP.

Work Experience:

  • Technical Skills:
  • 1) Proficient in enterprise network architecture (VLAN, VPN, firewall, etc.), servers (Windows/Linux), virtualisation technologies (VMware/Hyper-V), and database management (SQL Server/Oracle).
  • 2) Extensive knowledge and practical experience in network security, effectively preventing cyber-attacks and data breaches.
  • 3) Familiarity with common office software, hardware, and communication systems.

  • Core Competencies:
  • 1) Excellent business understanding: Ability to quickly learn and comprehend the furniture manufacturing business and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • 2) Extensive knowledge and practical experience in network security, effectively preventing cyber-attacks and data breaches.
  • 3) Strong communication and coordination abilities: Capable of effective communication with non-technical business departments, facilitating cross-department collaboration.
  • 4) Leadership and teamwork spirit: Ability to motivate the team, mentor subordinates, and possess a good service mindset.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • 1) Excellent business understanding: Ability to quickly learn and comprehend the furniture manufacturing business and translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • – Develop and execute a mid- to long-term IT development plan aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • – Continuously assess emerging technologies and industry best practices (e.g., smart manufacturing, data analytics), proposing innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency, product quality, and cost control.
  • – Collaborate on the implementation of the company’s digital projects at the IT level to achieve established goals.

  • 2) Project Management:
  • – Lead IT projects from requirements analysis, blueprinting, implementation to go-live, ensuring timely delivery within budget and achieving expected outcomes.
  • – Manage relationships with external software vendors, system integrator, and hardware suppliers.

  • 3) Business Support and Process Optimisation:
  • – Work closely with production, procurement, warehousing, sales, and finance departments to understand business pain points and needs, leading or participating in business process optimisation projects.
  • – Provide technical solutions tailored to the furniture industry (e.g., smart design, smart manufacturing) to achieve digitisation and automation of business processes.

  • 4) System Management and Operations:
  • – Core System Operations: Manage, maintain, upgrade, and support critical business systems such as ERP and MES, ensuring stable and efficient operation.
  • – Network and Infrastructure: Manage and optimize the network architecture (wired/wireless), servers, storage devices, phone systems, and data centers across factories, warehouses, and offices, ensuring 24/7 availability.
  • – Information Security: Establish and implement the company’s information security policies, including network security, data backup, and disaster recovery plans, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to ensure data safety and compliance.

  • 5) Team Management and Training:
  • – Lead and manage the IT team, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and daily work arrangements.
  • – Provide system operation training and technical support to all company users, enhancing overall IT application capabilities.

  • 6) End-User Support:
  • – Establish and improve the IT service management system (ITSM), managing desktop support, office software, printers, and email services to enhance internal customer satisfaction.
