Job Description

Qualification:

• 1) Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline.
• 2) Minimum 5–7 years of maintenance/engineering experience in manufacturing; RTA or board manufacturing experience is an advantage.
• 3) Proven leadership experience in managing multi-skilled engineering teams.

Require Skills:

• 1) Strong knowledge of CNC systems, hydraulic presses, pneumatic systems, PLC-controlled equipment, and industrial automation.
• 2) Familiar with TPM, RCM, CBM, and Predictive Maintenance tools (vibration, thermal, ultrasonic).
• 3) Strong understanding of ISO management systems (9001/14001/45001/50001).
• 4) Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and machine schematics.
• 5) Experience with CMMS/MES/ERP system utilization for maintenance planning.

Key responsibilities:

• 1) Lead and develop engineering and maintenance teams to strengthen technical skills and preventive/predictive maintenance capabilities.
• 2) Implement preventive, predictive, and RCM programs to ensure safe, reliable machine performance and minimize downtime.
• 3) Manage installation, commissioning, improvement, and life-cycle enhancement of CNC machines, presses, panel saws, and production equipment using appropriate PdM tools.
• 4) Establish effective rapid-response processes and provide advanced troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• 5) Ensure availability of critical spares through BOM, MTBF, and risk-based planning while managing suppliers and OEM service teams.
• 6) Drive energy optimization, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts to increase OEE and reduce breakdowns.
• 7) Maintain engineering documentation, downtime records, and KPIs aligned with ISO standards and EHS compliance.
• 8) Manage CAPEX/OPEX budgets, optimize resource utilization, and evaluate maintenance projects and equipment upgrades based on ROI.

• 1) Spm, STPM or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 2) Certified Chargeman (A1) by Suruhanjaya Tenaga
• 3) Basic computer literacy

• 2) Troubleshoot electrical failures and address issues related to power breaker (PB) surges.

• 1) Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field
• 2) Experience in quality control or lab management; experience in the furniture manufacturing industry is a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

• 1) Lead and manage daily operations of the QC laboratory in a furniture manufacturing environment.
• 2) Supervise QC team members and ensure adherence to testing protocols and SOPs.
• 3) Perform quality testing on raw materials (wood, fabric, foam, metal, and adhesives), in-process components, and final products.
• 4) Evaluate material strength, chemical resistance, and durability using standardized testing methods.
• 5) Understand physical forces and stress behaviour in panel testing (eg., bending strength, screw holding). Understand each machine’s function and testing principle.
• 6) Ensure all materials and finished products meet internal quality standards and customer specifications.
• 7) Use scientific knowledge to analyse test results, investigate variances, and implement improvements.
• 8) Minimize customer complaints by identifying and eliminating potential causes of product rejection.
• 9) Maintain accurate lab documentation and prepare quality reports for internal use and customer audits.
• 10) Manage chemical usage, storage, and safety in the lab environment.
• 11) Collaborate with the Production, R&D, and Purchasing teams to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• 12) Provide training and support to QC personnel on testing methods, material handling, organizes workflow, safety practices and builds a knowledge-sharing culture.
